Launch of Peg Moves Marks Entry of New Hospitality Recruiting Firm Targeting Employment Markets in Canada, the US, and the Caribbean

VANCOUVER – February 1st marks the official launch of an exciting new player in the field of hospitality recruiting in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean, Peg Moves.

Peg Moves is the product of a merger between two highly successful businesses that specialized in recruiting for major restaurants and hotels in Canada and the continental US, McInnis Hutchison and Your Next Move. Peg Moves brings together an experienced and trusted team of hospitality recruitment consultants under one roof. Its prime objective is to match clients with candidates searching for work in Careers that Fit.

“First and foremost, our goal is to pair the best interests of our candidates and clients,” said Roxanne Jessome, president and founder of McInnis Hutchison, and co-founder of Peg Moves. “As good recruiters, we consider the full 360 degree picture. A client-candidate match-up should never amount to fitting a square peg in a round hole.” At Peg Moves, the belief is that recruiters must look beyond a candidate’s skills and abilities, to other factors such as a candidate’s geographical preferences, personality, and potential fit with a client’s corporate culture.

Also integral to the Peg Moves recruitment process are ethics and integrity, as suggested by Douglas Harb, president and founder of Your Next Move, the Company’s other co-founder: “Ethics underlies everything we are about. Candidates must be able to trust they can apply for work in confidence, while clients must trust that we are not poaching their employees while moving through the recruiting process. Excited about this new venture, both Jessome and Harb bring significant experience to the recruiting table. For her part, Jessome founded McInnis Hutchison in 2001, a company she grew into the most prominent hospitality recruitment firm in Western Canada. Harb, meanwhile, was raised in the hospitality business, becoming an Executive Recruiter in the field over nine years ago, and establishing Your Next Move in January 2005. Together, Jessome and Harb have worked with a wide range of clients over the years, including Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada, Schwartz Brothers Restaurants, Morton’s of Chicago, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Marriott and Hilton Hotels, and the Oak Bay Marine Group.

Based in Vancouver, Canada, Peg Moves also has an office in Toronto, and access to key US and Caribbean markets through an affiliate network. There are plans to open an office in the continental United States within the year.
