Peg Moves Announces Peter Costello to Lead Firm’s Culinary Division
For immediate release – January 8, 2007
VANCOUVER – Continuing its mission to become the most service oriented hospitality recruitment firm in North America, Peg Moves is pleased to announce the launch of their new Culinary Division to be led by Peter Costello as Culinary Recruitment Specialist.
Costello, who has been a recruitment consultant with Peg Moves since its inception, is a Red Seal Chef with over 25 years experience as an Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director and Executive Recruiter. Having also obtained an MBA, Costello has consulted in the hospitality industry all over the world and served in leadership roles with Sooke Harbour House, Crowne Plaza, Langdon Hall, Elmwood Spa and Pacific Charter Airlines.
The creation of the Culinary Division of Peg Moves, headed by Costello, further solidifies the Company’s commitment to be a “service leader” in the hospitality recruitment field. According to Douglas Harb, co-founder of Peg Moves, “Having closely worked with Peter, I recognize both his talent as a recruiter and passion for the culinary niche of our industry. As a chef, Peter has an innate ability to communicate with culinary professionals and understand their unique needs. His depth of knowledge and experience in the culinary side of the hospitality industry has allowed him to excel in culinary recruitment and makes him a natural leader for this new division of Peg Moves.”
Co-founder Roxanne Jessome emphasized the need for culinary specialization in hospitality recruitment firms. “Everyone in our industry knows that the back-of-the-house operates very differently from the front-of-the-house. Even the language is different! Peter is able to break down these barriers, earning credibility and respect from both clients and candidates because of his unique skill set. We recognize that our clients often struggle with culinary recruitment and Peter’s expertise will greatly enhance their experience when working with Peg Moves.”
Recognition of the distinctive differences of culinary recruitment was also of great importance, from Costello’s perspective, when given the opportunity to lead the Culinary Division of Peg Moves. “I’m thrilled that as a Company, Peg Moves is leading the hospitality recruitment field with the creation of a Culinary Division. I am truly excited to be able to utilize both my recruitment and culinary management skills to provide specialized services and completely address the needs of culinary focused clients and candidates. I look forward to making a significant contribution to the growth of Peg Moves across North America.”
Peg Moves operates with the objective of matching clients with management candidates in the foodservice and hospitality industry.
